Throw Down of the Mounts

So, I got called in for an emergency raid with the Census yesterday... thankfully Belnik was behaving himself and I was able to meld with the Nether. They had me interview two people, and on the way back I had some dude in a new Pontiac roll up beside me and throw down a dual flag.

He pumped up the volume of his troll jam beatz while beside me. At the time, I was listening to a Celtic dong, and wishing to hear the end of up, I turned up my volume. Drowned out the other guys poor sound system. He tucked his tail and ran! Did his best not to pull up beside me the next three light. *Evil Grin*

I love my mount. It might not be epic, but it sure is close. :)

So...

Life has been busy! Between raiding with my guild, and grinding on Earth, I've had very little time to update my blog, but I am still alive, and I haven't cancelled my Earth subscription!

There's so much I wish I could tell you about my recent journeys on Earth, but a confidentiality agreement restricts me from telling you the most interesting bits. Suffice it to say, the game has been more challenging recently!

I am amazed how many people refuse the in-game census, despite the fact that it's written into the EULA. Lots of people wonder why they can't be counted automatically... but the Nether is a big place. It's too easy for things to go unnoticed without making an effort to get things done right.

So far I've been cussed at, had doors slammed in my face, bit by bugs, and been attacked by bees and dogs. All in a days work. :)

This work should last another couple weeks, but until then I need to start looking for my next guild. Hopefully this time it will be one more permanent. Only time will tell....

Enumerator, IRL

So, I graduated from my class on Earth. Been too busy to post about it. Had some really crazy stuff happening! Had to visit a slum area, most of the trailers there had been abandoned... and the ones that weren't should have been! There were feral dogs running around that had a bloodlust buff, and struck for +45 rabies. Since I don't have any rabies resistant gear I had to be careful, I made it out without seeing them though.

I'm going to need to do some detective work, as it seems a large portion of my addresses are either abandoned or do not exist. I never would have guessed some of these places would exist! One place had no door, it didn't look inhabitable at all, but player owned non-combat pets were running all over the place. He had quite a collection of chickens!

Enumerator, Level 2!

I became an Enumerator level 2 today! My first day of grinding with my new guild contract was rather boring. Sort of like when you've used a dagger your entire life and you decide you want to use a sword. Takes hours and hours of attacking meaningless targets before you start getting good at it. It wasn't challenging... just frustrating. And my characters hands are now black, as they took my characters ID print at the end of the day.

I got a side quest as the other people were getting their fingerprints done. I got a phone call for somebody who wanted to interview me for a new sales position with a security company. My game time this week is full with getting to Enumerator level 5 though, so I told the recruiter I would call her back next week. This would be for a permanent position in their guild. I might be leveling two professions at once soon!

Been Busy....

So, been pretty busy raiding lately, haven't had much time to make a new post. I still have been playing some Earth though. Got my automobile repaired. Then I got into a legal dual with somebody in a van. They said I hit them with my car, even though there was no damage on my car whatsoever.

The police officer thought that I was hacking, and just had an immunity spell on my car, as he thought it was completely possible that my car jumped up, bit the van in the butt, and walked away without a scratch.

After about 4 Earth days I was able to meet with the officer, and show him my car. He still acted like I had an immunity hack... but after reviewing the damage on the van decided my car was just too low to the ground to have caused it. Another dual won by me!

I start working with the new guild tomorrow... will update if more interesting stuff happens. It's only training though, I won't get to do anything in the field until next week.

What a Day....

So, I haven't been able to get the radiator for my auto yet. I decided to take the day to do some cosmetic maintenance. I washed and detailed the paint, rewashed, waxed and treated the plastics, rubber and other similar parts. During the waxing part of the process I had to fight off one of Earth's most fearsome urban beasts... a swarm of killer bees!

They insisted upon using the air above my car as their own personal arena. Must have been about 40 duals in the time it took me to wax the car! They are rather unnerving, and sadly I do not own any weapons to safely deal with them. Best I could do is taunt them angrily... I think it worked occasionally.

As I was treating the plastic parts of my bumpers I received a call from my friend who owns a BMW shop. I'll be taking a trip tomorrow to finally get my radiator replaced. I also obtained a side quest for after the repairs are made. I will be driving him back to where my hearthstone is set so he can pick up one of his cars here, and drive it back to his shop.

Hopefully I am able to complete these tasks before the run of Ulduar with my guild begins. Otherwise I might need to finish my quests afterwards. If anything interesting happens tomorrow I'll be sure to post about it.

A Strange Turn of Events

So, yesterday I posted about not being able to get into a guild on Earth, but looks like my problems are solved! Temporarily, at least. I'm not becoming a member of a guild, but they are contracting an assignment out to me. I have been given a quest chain to report for training with a new assignment on April 27-30. My quest after training is to help take a census of all the people in-game around my area. The quest chain could take up to two months. I'm not sure if I'll get any epic stats for completing the chain, but at least I'll gain more resources to get other achievements.

I also have a new side quest due to this. I'll be doing a lot of travelling, so I'll need to fix my mount, Sonya. She's a red-headed BMW 325is with a bit of a temperament. She started leaking fluid from her radiator a couple weeks ago. I've been putting off fixing her until I got some sort of income. I'll be doing a lot of driving for this new quest, so before I am able to start that quest I'll need to fix that radiator! Will start working on that next week. Quests on Earth take so much longer than in real life!

Here's a page I made for Sonya. :)
